Linear Integration

The Linear integration improves the conversation UI with the functions listed below:
- Search the Linear workspace for issues related to the conversation
- Link Linear issues to the conversation
- Create an issue in Linear
- If the user has templates in Linear, the integration will use those to create issues
To enable the Linear, navigate to Settings -> Integrations. Select Linear under the Create new integration section.
In the create screen, you must give the integration a name. Anything will work, but it's recommended if the name helps you remember which team or instance it's authorised towards. For example, naming it "Linear back-end" would be descriptive. Finalise the create screen by selecting Submit.
Your organisation is almost ready to use Linear. The final step is to authorise the connection between Dixa and Linear, select Start authorization and log in to Linear in the pop-up.
Everything works when you see the green checkmark right of the Start authorization.
If you delete the integration all links between Linear tickets and Dixa conversations are also deleted. No data in Linear is edited.
To see it in action, navigate to a conversation from the left-side menu and select Conversation. Select any conversation from the list, expand the right bar and scroll down to the Linear logo and the name chosen when creating the widget. With the integration, you can:
- Create a new issue - a new screen will open where you can select the team and project together with other details.
- Search Linear issue—From the Dixa UI, it's possible to search for existing Linear issues and connect them to the conversation. Unfortunately, the linear API only permits searches on names, not IDs.
- Unlink all issues—If you accidentally add a list of incorrect linear issues, there's a button to unlink all issues.
